PATERSON, NJ – Mayor Andre Sayegh released the first issue of Paterson Perseveres, a newsletter that provides several resources for residents as well as an overview of the work the Sayegh Administration, in collaboration with other partners on the local, state, and federal level, have accomplished.

Located on the first page of the inaugural edition is a letter from Sayegh, followed by information on how to sign up for New Jersey’s first Financial Empowerment Center. The newsletter also provides readers with real time data in the City of Paterson for COVID-19 cases, a lead-safe map, resurfaced roads map and Paterson’s response to Paterson Plus Complaints.

Page two of six contains what the Administration and partners have accomplished, such as winning the Global Mayors Challenge, Sayegh’s State of the City Address, Paterson’s investment in electric vehicle fleet and Paterson achieving What Works Cities Silver Certification. Page three focuses on public safety with an article on the historical Bi-Partisan support of bail reform legislation, statewide public safety investments and the Paterson Police Department audit.

Page four consists of residential resources such as information about the Paterson Plus app, COVID-19 testing and vaccine schedules, community engagement and the observation of Black History Month, standing united with Ukraine and Autism Awareness Month, while the last two pages consist of a directory of Paterson officials and links to Paterson’s website and social media accounts.

The newsletter will be shared quarterly with residents, community partners, mayors from various municipalities, state and federal leaders, a spokesperson told TAPinto Paterson. The newsletter will be distributed electronically via Paterson’s official website and social media while printed copies will be distributed to senior buildings, schools, businesses, churches and at City Hall.
